Family Day 2022

A full program awaits you at the family day for rebels at the Kunstmuseum Basel! Let yourself be drawn together with your loved ones at our portrait stations or browse in our reading corner. Exchange ideas with our experts on the subject of children's rights or create your own comic on the subject of courage.

On Family Day, admission to the Museum is free, with the exception of the special exhibition «Castaway Modernism». The Family Day programs are also free of charge.

HAUPTBAU

You and your spirit animal
We paint on walls and floors and fill the whole room with bears, butterflies or seahorses.
Small studio, 10 am–5 pm

Fully cozy!
How would I like to live? Here you enter a world that you can help shape! Network with others or retreat into your own realm.
Big studio, 10 am–5 pm

Crawling, Sealing, Climbing
A zone for free playing and movement for babies and toddlers up to 3 years old.
Small courtyard walkway, 10 am–5 pm

Eyes, ears, hands, mouth
In the toy-free zone, babies and toddlers experience the space, surfaces and their bodies with all their senses. The room was created in cooperation with the company Holle. Company Holle additionally offers nutritional counseling for children up to 3 years.

Explore the collection and let yourself be drawn with your loved ones.
